Anne Luft
May I introduce myself – I’m Anne and I’m the founder of DISCOVER FOLKMUSIC (DFM). I was born and bred near the foothills of the Harz mountains in Germany. I came to Berlin for my studies during my twenties and continue to live in this amazing, and amazingly diverse city.
I love finding and collecting stories, capturing the radiance of my protagonists and letting it shine via audio-visual narratives. By exploring cross-generational topics and the question of what shapes us and what we leave behind, I have developed a pronounced interest in traditions and their living, constantly evolving transformation. I’m often inspired by my global travels and my membership in the yodelling Ribo Choir Berlin.
To me, folk music and folk traditions convey a sense of acceptance, freedom of expression and creative joy. The universal language of folk music is open to anyone, irrespective of age, gender or heritage.
Driven by my passion for traditional music and modern media, I want to contribute to keeping this free form of expression alive – and celebrate it. Today, I use my expertise and enthusiasm to share this joy with others and to present these topics in a way that makes them accessible to many people. I want to find and design modes, approaches and pathways that give others real access to this experience.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude for the warmhearted support from my friends & family as well as all others who support us on our paths!

Lisa Böhm
She designs things others can see and understand, without special effects or nonsense — only the sum of many decisions involving all details in the eddy that surrounds the center of your matter.
Over 15 years of event production, content development and camera operation has shown her that creation means collaboration. It’s neither fun nor valuable to do everything on your own and so each client becomes a co-creator in the design process.
